Technology increasingly influences every aspect of our lives. Engaging with the change this will bring to the way we all work and live is important, and it is a conversation that has to bring together diverse groups from all walks of life to talk equally about opportunities and threats, regulations and freedoms.Emmanuel Macron has been a vocal and strong leader on this topic. His Tech for Good conference that took place today is a great example of the work he is doing to facilitate this essential dialogue. So it’s great to be able to share that my partner, Bernard Liautaud, was invited to take part. Along with leaders such as Dara Khosrowshahi of Uber, Bernard discussed the Future of Work and its implications on the workforce and society. Other participants include leaders and CEOs of Google, Facebook, Uber, IBM, SAP, Intel and others.

It’s a good week for French Tech in general. Tomorrow marks the start of Vivatech, increasingly one of the key dates in the European technology calendar. Bernard will be on a panel along with Philippe Botteri from Accel, discussing the role that venture capital plays in the creation of the future unicorns of tech in Europe. My partner Rob will also be at Vivatech, where he will be participating in a discussion on the lure of the USA as an expansion market for European-founded startups, and will be acting as a judge at the Techcrunch Startup Battlefield, also happening at Vivatech.
