It is with great pleasure that we welcome the 2017 cohort of Summer Associates to Balderton Capital.
Our summer placement introduces individuals with varied skill-sets to the world of venture capital. While working here, they will meet new companies, advise our portfolio companies in specific areas, and take deep-dives into verticals that will help us broaden our understanding of emerging sectors in technology.

Benedikt joins from INSEAD where he is currently pursuing his MBA. Prior to INSEAD, Benedikt co-founded Cubits, a European cryptocurrency wallet and payment processor, and managed its expansion into a global player. Benedikt started his career in TMT Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan in London, where he advised various clients on IPOs, M&A transactions and debt financings. Benedikt holds a BSc in Management from Warwick University, enjoys sports of all kinds and is an avid car enthusiast.
Cayetana is joining from Columbia Business School in NYC, where she is currently pursuing an MBA. Before moving to the US, Cayetana was at Goldman Sachs in London in the TMT M&A team, where she got exposure to internet and software businesses and worked in several tech private placements and IPOs. She holds a MS in Law and Business Administration and Management from ICADE – Comillas in Madrid. Outside of work, Cayetana loves travelling, exercising, practicing yoga, and meeting new people.
Vikram joins from Said Business School (SBS), where he is currently reading for his MBA. Prior to SBS, Vikram was working for McKinsey & Company in the TMT practice, where he was focusing on consumer tech and other technologies such as Internet of Things and Cloud. He holds a Bachelors in Engineering from University of Delhi in India. Outside work, he is an avid soccer and cricket fan and loves to play poker.
